In this episode, I'm talking about how fruit holds the key to better gut health, disease prevention, and even mental wellbeing. Over and over patients tell me that they were told not to eat fruit because of its high sugar content.

Fruit sugar is not the enemy of your health. High fructose corn syrup and the fluffy white sugar added by the tablespoon to vanilla flavored yogurt is the adversary of your health.

Unlike refined white sugar, natural sugar found in fruit has blood sugar balancing fibrous material, minerals, and polyphenols. In fact, study after study shows that fat gain goes up with refined or added sugars and goes down with whole fruit intake.

Let's talk about what different fruits can do for your health.
