At my last GP appointment, an AI medical scribe called Heidi was quietly at work in the background, listening and turning the consultation into structured clinical notes. I asked my Instagram followers how they feel about this, and the results were split: 75% were happy for AI to handle transcription and follow-ups, while 25% were firmly against it.

In this episode, I explore why clinicians are turning to tools like Heidi to reduce burnout and improve documentation, and why some patients remain uneasy about privacy, accuracy and the potential impact on the doctor-patient relationship. Would you be comfortable with AI in the room with your GP?
