Reimagine an iconic music video with Fiona Jane Burgess
Manage episode 346436761 series 3143847
20 years ago, Christina Aguilera released her ICONIC track, Beautiful.
To celebrate the 2 decades since it's been released, Christina and the team at Sony, recruited film director, Fiona Jane Burgess, to reimagine the accompanying music video.
In this episode, we speak with Fiona about how the project came to life, what it was like working with Christina, and how she drew upon her previous experience working in an adolescent psychiatric unit to create the concept for the film.
So much of Fiona's work, focuses on the topics of motherhood, feminism and mental health, and towards the end of the conversation we talk about her frustration with the challenges that mothers in the creative industries face.
If you resonate with the issues that she discusses, we'd love to hear from you - [email protected]
