Barry first found music when he borrowed his sister's record collection when he was about eight and was hooked. When Caroline started it was a new beginning, and he listened to all the stations, but Caroline was his favourite by far. Later he became a singer in a band, then started doing discos when he was 18. In many discussions I have with people on how to take their sales and their business to the next level, I find that they have a negative connotation towards selling.
They tell me they:
- Don’t want to take advantage of someone
- Don’t want to rip someone off
- Don’t want to push something of someone
- Don’t want to be one of those people
Here’s my advice: Don’t! A great sales person does not do any of those things.
Selling is finding someone who has a need or want for a product or service, helping them identify and quantify their need/want and leading them to the solution.
