"We've been taught to tune out and override our bodies' signals for SO long, we don't know what the f*ck our body is saying."
This episode explores those grey areas. Those areas between anti-diet culture and fitness culture and asks the question, whether challenging ourselves and pushing for our fitness goals can still align with our values in this space.
How can we start listening to our bodies and still work out to feel good IN our bodies?
When we're exhausted, is it still ok to work out or how do we recognise the signs that we need rest?
Jenna Jozefowski helps women who like to do hard things be more chill in their approach to fitness. She is a certified personal trainer & kettlebell instructor, Trauma Informed Weightlifting coach, dance teacher, yoga teacher, and semi-retired professional dancer. After years of living and working in industries full of diet-culture, she got sick and tired of watching people (including herself) running themselves into the ground trying to uphold the narrow-minded image of what our culture sees as “healthy” and “fit”.
But instead of giving it all up, she decided that she'd rather change the game, call out the BS, extract the good, and help others use movement to build themselves up rather than tear themselves down.
You can connect with her on Instagram @itsjennaj , listen to her podcast Tough Cookie Talks wherever you listen to podcasts, and learn how to work with her at itsjennaj.com
