In this episode, we talk about what it means to be “the first.” For me, as a first-generation Mexican American daughter, that role has shaped so much of my life — carrying my parents’ sacrifices, navigating spaces they never walked in, and trying to honor where I come from while choosing my own path. Being the first comes with pride, but also with pressure, fear, and sometimes loneliness. Together with Papi, we’ll reflect on what being the first has meant for both of us — and for the generations that follow.
