Most people think yoga is just about perfecting physical poses, but did you know asanas are just ONE part of yoga?
Yoga, as outlined by Patanjali in the Yoga Sutras, is an 8-limbed path to a meaningful and balanced life. And the secret to every pose? Sthira Sukham Asanam – a balance of steadiness (sthira) and ease (sukham).
🌱 The 8 Limbs of Yoga:
1️⃣ Yamas – Ethical principles (kindness, truth, non-attachment)
2️⃣ Niyamas – Self-discipline (purity, gratitude, self-study)
3️⃣ Asana – Physical postures (steady & easeful movement)
4️⃣ Pranayama – Breath control (calming the mind)
5️⃣ Pratyahara – Sense withdrawal (turning inward)
6️⃣ Dharana – Concentration (focusing the mind)
7️⃣ Dhyana – Meditation (deep awareness)
8️⃣ Samadhi – Enlightenment (inner bliss)
