Ever get caught up in the drama of your job title, your nationality, the labels that define you? I took a little field trip to a cemetery, a place where those very labels become… well, just labels on a stone. It’s a powerful reminder that the story we tell ourselves about who we are barely scratches the surface of the vibrant life force that you truly are. You see those names and professions etched in stone? They were someone's proud identity, their way of saying "Look at me, I mattered!" But to whom are they saying it now?
We spend so much energy building these identities, seeking validation through achievements and possessions, forgetting that this incredible body is just a temporary vessel, a rental returning to the source. The fear of what others think? Hilarious when you zoom out and see billions of sparks of life briefly illuminating before returning to the cosmic ocean. The need to be remembered? A sweet human desire, but ultimately, like a wave in that vast ocean, your individual form will dissolve back into the whole. And that's not sad, it's beautiful! It means you are free to live fully, without the burden of constant self-justification.
Dying strips away everything, revealing the essence of who you are – a beautiful expression of life itself. So, let's stop sweating the small stuff, like parking spaces and fleeting opinions, and focus on what truly nourishes our souls: love, connection, and gratitude for this incredible experience of being human.
