I came across a research article from Stress and Health in 2016. It was first published in 2014. It explored how positive emotions benefit resilience and mitigate stress. The article explains how positive emotions expand the range of potential coping strategies, helping individuals handle stress more effectively. This increased resilience, in turn, leads to lower levels of anxiety and depressive symptoms. The study also notes that while stress is inevitable, resilience moderates its impact on mental health. This is not a new concept; much has been studied and published before and after this study.

Humans have studied eras and generations for our approach to survival and thriving. We are in another time of emotional maturity and developing practices to regulate our emotions to experience a more peaceful being.

Listen as Laurie takes a dive into emotional intelligence and our evolutionary process.
