You might think that in today’s world, we can talk about menopause. We say, think again.

Of course, it’s become more normal to share the hot flash humour with your friends or how hard it has suddenly become to get a night’s sleep without a 2-hour wake-up in the middle of it.

At the same time, 90% of women in their 40’s and 50’s do not know the symptoms of menopause, research shows that the majority of women hide their symptoms at work for fear of judgement, and many women still carry around a lot of shame around hitting this developmental milestone.

In this episode, we unpack where this silence and shame came from, how it plays out in life and work, and what to do about it.

We believe that the more women who release the shame and share their experiences of aging and menopause, the more women will actually age gracefully, with fewer symptoms and more inspiration.

You’ll come away knowing how to find

  • connection in the sometimes lonely world of midlife
  • courage to speak louder about it so more women feel supported and safe
  • and compassion for yourself for what you’re going through

Join the Midlife Red Tent, where we reclaim our time, energy and bodies. Where we burn the rules of aging.
