Myopia, or nearsightedness, is an international epidemic. Spending time indoors and doing close-up work is a major contributor. Research has shown that going outside in green spaces helps reduce the incidence of myopia. People with myopia often need glasses to see distances. They are also more prone to a host of eye disease as they age.
