He warned of "far greater" attacks if Iran does not "make peace." But hours before those strikes on Iran, local organizations were in Center City calling for the US to stay out of a conflict that was still primarily between Israel and Iran. We are going through the first heatwave of the summer as temperatures soar to close to 100 degrees over the next few days. City officials are asking to check on your neighbors and drink plenty of water. Filling up with gasoline is a mindless chore. But are there subconscious influences at work? A Temple University alum’s doctoral thesis explores how gas retailers appeal to more than a driver’s needs.
