First, the plaintiff and defendant used to be in a relationship, but they broke up when the defendant cheated on the plaintiff with the plaintiff’s sister. The defendant moved out and stole her property, so she’s suing for unpaid rent and unreturned property. The defendant argues he doesn’t owe anything. He thinks the plaintiff is just mad at him because he dumped her for her sister.

Then, the plaintiff hired the defendant to do some plumbing work in his business. He says his business failed a city inspection because the defendant isn’t even a real plumber. He’s suing for his money back. The defendant argues the plaintiff’s business was in shambles and the inspection failed on a technicality.
