Today on Shaping Freedom, we have a truly extraordinary guest to help guide us through this challenging and uncertain time. We have the honor of speaking with Patrisse Cullors, a co-founder of the Black Lives Matter movement. However, Patrisse is so much than that. She is an artist, author, creative, and visionary behind a new art collective, The Crenshaw Dairy Mart. Throughout our conversation we are going to explore what it means to embrace joy despite the struggles of both internal and external forces working to pull us down. We will learn how to honor and nurture the legacy we build for ourselves and for others and why we need artistry in the worlds we build. Patrisse reflects deeply on her journey, from where she comes from to her unwavering mission to challenge systems of oppression and reimagine possibilities for the future.
