Brendan is an award-winning Northern Irish Writer-Exec Producer, with international co-pro experience in TV, features and bestselling books world-wide. Past work with The CW, WB Discovery, Lionsgate, Sony, BBC, CBC, NBC, AMC, Viaplay, Acorn, Universal, Elisa, SBS. Most recently: 2025 Sherlock & Daughter starring David Thewlis; two seasons of hit series The Man Who Died for Elisa, AMC/Acorn; Cold Courage for Viaplay, AMC+, Britbox and Lionsgate.

His latest creation is the CW hit show "Sherlock & Daughter". The series was announced in February 2024, along with the casting of David Thewlis, Blu Hunt and Dougray Scott. The series was created by Brendan Foley, who acts as executive producer alongside showrunner James Duff. Micah Wright, Shelly Goldstein, and Foley provided the scripts.

Filming took place in Dublin in April 2024, with North Great George's Street being used for exterior shooting. Filming also occurred in County Wicklow.[9] Production wrapped in June. The series consists of eight hour-long episodes, all directed by Bryn Higgins.

Release

The series premieres on April 16, 2025 on The CW in the US and Discovery+ in the UK and Ireland.

Internationally, the series will be broadcast by Yle and Amedia in Finland, NRK in Norway, DR in Denmark, SVT in Sweden, Amediateka in Russia, RÚV in Iceland, and SBS in Australia.

Brendan's previous indie feature films for Sony, Nordisk and Lionsgate include multi-award winner Johnny Was with Vinnie Jones; and The Riddle starring David Jacobi and Vanessa Redgrave, Books include Amazon UK Top Ten bestseller Under the Wire about the Great Escape, for Random House. Formerly a freelance international features journalist covering business and the environment in 77 countries. He likes people, cats and commas. And tea.
