A viewer asked for our thoughts on relationships and the ‘evolution of consciousness’. I have never heard Zan mention these words, so I was curious to get his take.
On my side of things, an ‘evolutionary relationship’ – a way of framing intimacy with my woman as a place where we challenge each other and grow – has long been a core value of mine. No-one will ever see you as your woman does: there’s no greater mirror to help you understand yourself.
Zan takes a different rhythm on things. Still, for him, the relationship is the foundation from which restoring beauty, in culture, will arise.
This podcast went long, so we’re splitting it into two. This week, we look at rescuing the good and the true from traditional relationships, and how we might slow down, and reorient our intimate lives, according to ritual, quality time, and the sacred.
Next week, we’ll unpack the outer edges of relationships: the hunt for blindspots, and the perils of too much desire for growth.
