Finding Joy Beyond Trauma – A Reading from The Fairy Elephant Effect

This week on The Fairy Elephant Effect podcast, I’m doing something a little different — I’m reading directly from my book, The Fairy Elephant Effect.

This chapter is personal. It’s a reminder that sometimes purpose, structure, and joy come from the most unexpected places. For me — it was coaching rugby.

It became my anchor during a time when everything else felt like it was falling apart.

This story perfectly aligns with the heart of the Dream Catchers and Cultivators Club — the group I run twice a year — where we work together to shift old patterns, dream bigger, and create a life that feels like ours again.

→ If this episode speaks to you — or you’re curious about joining the next round of Dream Catchers and Cultivators — reach out to me directly! I’d love to share more.

And don’t forget — my book The Fairy Elephant Effect is available now on Amazon if you’d like to read more stories like this.

In this episode:

How rugby coaching gave me a way back to myself

The power of purposeful and pleasurable activities after trauma

Why structure and joy help us heal

The reminder: We are not our trauma

Resources & Links:

→ Grab The Fairy Elephant Effect on Amazon: [link]

→ Learn more about The Dream Catchers & Cultivators Club: Reach out via [your preferred contact method – email, socials etc.]

Because life isn’t just about surviving — it’s about creating, cultivating, and catching those dreams waiting for you.
