Part 2 of Eoin's chat with Leah Healy (@one2onediabetes).
Leah is from the US, and has been living with Type 1 Diabetes since the age of 7. She is the founder and creator of One 2 One Diabetes, which is a company built by a diabetic, for a diabetic.
One 2 One Diabetes creates unique travel bags and cases for Type 1 Diabetes supplies to make traveling with the condition much more convenient and streamlined.
Leah has had an innate passion for business, entrepreneurship, and helping others living with Type 1 Diabetes all her life. These passions led Leah to creating a fundraiser when she was much younger called “Pennies 4 Pumps” and Dragonfly Jewelry, which helped raise funds for children to gain access to their Diabetes supplies.
What Eoin and Leah speak about:
- What it’s like growing up with Type 1 Diabetes.
- The beneficial impact that Diabetes camps had on her perspective.
- Traveling with Type 1 Diabetes.
- The reality of what Diabetes supplies actually cost in the US.
- Running your own business and the challenges it brings.
- Why doing something you’re passionate about is important to your consistency.
- And much more!
