In this episode of The Real Build, I sat down with my good friend and returning guest, Nate Swink. Nate is the owner of Swink's Welding out in California and last came on the show back in February of 2023. Anytime Nate and I talk, it's always a real and honest conversation about what it takes to build a business the right way, and this one was no different.

Nate's built a solid company by staying consistent, leading with integrity, and always focusing on the details. In this episode, we got into some key topics that every business owner should be thinking about:

  • How many jobs you actually need to hit your goals
  • The importance of having real leaders in your business
  • Getting clear on your vision and where you're headed
  • Why you've got to keep showing up and pushing forward, no matter what
  • How to consistently deliver value to your clients
  • And why the small details really do make a huge difference

Nate's not just a welder, he's a true business owner who's out there doing the work every day and helping others in the trades level up. He's also active in groups like Top Contractor School, where he's mentoring others who want to grow and do things the right way.

This episode is packed with value, so if you're a builder, tradesman, or business owner trying to figure out how to grow without cutting corners, you'll want to tune in.
