Parts Work, the IP Self and Internal Boundaries

This is part two of a two part episode. Today we're talking about internal boundaries. We're joined by Christine Dixon, an educational therapist, and IFS Trainer.

Christine starts by defining internal boundaries and how they can be used to create a self-led plan for achieving our goals. She explains how internal boundaries can help us listen to our inner parts and be more aware of what's happening inside us instead of reacting automatically when something happens.

Christine talks about the importance of noticing our triggers and realizing that the self never gets triggered. When you’re triggered it’s always a part of us.

Christine also shares her insights on the fact that different parts of us may hate each other and how we can try to get rid of our judgmental parts by noticing if our part is judgmental if it's judging another part of ourselves or someone else.
