Erin Bellamy
I’m Dr Erin Louise Bellamy, a Chartered Psychologist, Metabolic Psychiatry clinician and researcher. I support people to implement ketogenic metabolic therapy (KMT) and other metabolic therapies for psychiatric conditions and improved mental health. I have a private practice at www.ikrt.org.
I have a PhD in Psychology, specialising in Ketogenic Diets & Depression from the University of East London. I also have an MSc in Psychiatric Research from the Institute of Psychiatry at King’s College London. I am an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society and a member of the Society of Metabolic Health Practitioners.
For the past ten years, I have been working with people across all stages of mental illness and recovery both through in-patient psychiatric units and remotely online. I have seven years of experience using Ketogenic Metabolic Therapy to improve various physical and mental health conditions such as obesity, insulin resistance, food addiction, depression and bipolar disorder. I provide nutritional and lifestyle education on implementing ketogenic metabolic therapy in a way that is simple and easy to maintain as a lifestyle whilst improving mental health outcomes.
I am most interested in how we can use the ketogenic diet and other ketone increasing protocols to improve mental health. Alongside my clinical work, I continue to research and contribute to the field and I provide training to healthcare professionals on the importance of Metabolic Psychiatry.
I have contributed to the following training and educational courses:
- Ketogenic Therapeutics Mastery: Ketogenic Metabolic Therapy for Psychiatric Conditions
