In this episode, I share the topic of emotional regulation and its massiveimpact on entrepreneurship. As I reflect on the five-year anniversary of my transition from a 27-year career to the online business world, I share insights that I wish I had learned much earlier in my journey. Emotional regulation, along with nervous system regulation and subconscious reprogramming, is not just beneficial but essential for sustainable business growth.

There’s a huge difference between reacting and responding to situations. I emphasize that reacting is often an impulsive outburst driven by external stimuli, while responding involves a conscious choice that conserves energy and establishes boundaries. Mastering emotional regulation can lead to less stress, more ease, and a greater impact in our businesses, and is something I wish I had been open to learning earlier in my entrepreneurial journey.

HIGHLIGHTS 00:00:00 - Introduction to Emotional Regulation in Business 00:01:00 - The Importance of Emotional Regulation 00:02:30 - Reacting vs. Responding 00:04:00 - The Challenge of Negative Emotions 00:05:30 - Emotional Regulation as the Missing Link 00:07:00 - The Impact of Emotional Reactivity on Business 00:08:30 - NLP and Emotional Regulation 00:10:00 - Techniques for Interrupting Negative Patterns 00:11:30 - Building Emotional Stability for Business Success 00:13:00 - The Role of Self-Trust and Resilience 00:14:30 - Homework: Applying Emotional Regulation Techniques 00:15:00 - Conclusion and Encouragement
