Albert j (formerly known as f.o.c.u.s.) is an American hip-hop recording artist residing in Tampa Florida. Stints as a child and young adult in Maryland, DC, Virginia, NC, California and now Florida, Albert J got to experience a lot of diverse music and inspirations. From bands ranging from Sigur Ros and Coldplay to Linkin Park and Incubus. Many Hip-Hop influences from DMX, KId Cudi, Mos Def and Busta Rhymes... Albert J's range in music is unlimited. As "f.o.c.u.s." ... He released 3 mixtapes "Youth Religion" (dec 2013) "Remember" (march 2014) and his most recent "YR2 (April 2015). They garnered much attention in the hip hop scene in central Florida. His "debut album" under Albert j is slated to drop "Grow" in June 22 2018. With production from Leto Beats and features from Dlyric and Black Montreal Grow is slated to be Albert js best work after a hiatus to do shows and focus on family.
