In this episode, I sit down with Sina Tadayon to talk about OCD in a way most people have never heard before. Sina doesn’t just study it or write about it — he lives with it. He’s given TED Talks, written multiple articles, and walked through the day-to-day reality of a mind that tries to “protect” him while also creating fear, confusion, and unwanted identities.
Most of us only hear the surface-level version of OCD — the stereotypes, the neat and tidy boxes. But Sina brings us into the deeper layers. He talks about the thoughts he attaches to, the identities his mind tries to hand him, and how he’s learned to navigate a brain that isn’t always on his side.
We get into how he sought help, what healing looks like for him now, and how he reframed OCD from something “wrong” with him into something he’s learning from and working with. It’s honest, personal, and such an eye-opening look into what OCD can actually feel like on the inside.
If you’ve ever wondered what OCD really is — beyond the stereotypes — this conversation will expand your understanding completely.
